Control for drop-type spreaders with horizontal blade
Flow meter with hydraulic cylinder. Applicable to drop-types spreaders that control the flow through a gate by which the product falls under gravity.
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SYSTEM
The conventional factory-fitted features of this type of machinery do not allow for flow variation of fertilizer drop when varying travel speed; therefore the applied dose cannot remain even in the event the operator cannot keep an even work speed.
Vcom solves this problem by checking the position of the gate and using a calibration formula, which allows you to work at different speeds while keeping the same gate system accuracy on the machine.
OPERATION AND CALIBRATION
The system controls a hydraulic cylinder that moves the adjustable gate through which the fertilizer flows to the spreader plates. The hydraulic control block has a directional valve connected to any tractor output. A position sensor is used to know and adjust the position of the hydraulic cylinder.
Calibration is performed by measuring the flow delivered by the machine within a fixed period of time, and at 3 configurable gate positions, usually minimum, average, and maximum position.
WORK LOG
The system generates georeferenced maps that allow you to have a detailed record of the operator’s work. WhiIe operating, it stores such data as date, starting and finishing working times, applied dose, speed, hectares, terrain elevation, applied and no-spray area. Our Agromaps Software generates reports and post-application maps of all registered variables, which enables you to visualize and analyze all these data, hence allowing for better decision-making.
